The boy was doing a snow dance to try to get more snow falling. He was jumping on what was left of one of our snowmen and singing and dancing. It was pretty dang funny. He said that he wants more snow because it "makes it Christmas time." I said that I think it will probably snow again before Christmas, and he said that the day it snows it is Christmas. His logic cracks me up sometimes.

SNOW DAY!!

Boy howdy, did we get a snow day! It started about 7:30 am and literally did not stop until about 7:30 pm. For 12 solid hours it DUMPED snow. I don't know what the official measurement was, but outside our door we got about 12 inches of powder. We had quite a day! We built a snowman, threw snow balls, made snow angels, sledded down the hill, took pictures, and had hot cocoa. It was a lot of fun. The boy LOVES the snow. Baby girl...not so much. She cried almost the entire time she was outside (less than 10 minutes.) Maybe she will get used to it, I bet we'll have more snow this year. I had such fun with the boy today. Our snowman was built at about 9 am, so by the afternoon, it was completely buried under new snow!

The boy's two favorite things...(this week)
1. Bendaroos
2. Snowmen
Snowmen have been his favorite since he was just a tiny squirt, but Bendaroos are his new obsession. He saw commercials for them while watching "The Magic Schoolbus" on Discovery Kids, and has been begging for them since. It's so cute to hear him say "Bendaroos." Daddy made him this snowman, which the boy played with for a few minutes, before smushing him "small small small." Then he HAD to watch Frosty the Snowman several times. Too bad we didn't get a flake of snow this year. =(

S is for....snowman?
The boy and I are making letter creatures. (We are not doing them in alphabetical order.) Today he wanted to make an s. When I asked him what animal starts with s, de thought about it for a while, making the "ssssss" sound. I fully expected him to say snake, but instead he said "snowman." While a snowman is not, strictly speaking, an animal...he has loved snowmen since he was a teeny baby, so of course we had to make a snowman! I am going to laminate all the "animals" and hang them around his play room. (In alphabetical order! )
