Baby girl loves her bouncy chair!

Our dear friend gave us this bouncy chair/ play thingy, and baby girl LOVES it. She especially loves the little piano looking thing that makes noise and lights up. We already had to move it up to the second level because she is so darned tall!

Ouchie

Ok, so I fell down today. Broke my ankle, sprained my wrist, and got some road rash in my hand. Not a great time. I opted for the air cast so that I can remove it for showers and stuff, and I can walk on it.

Cool kid, cool picture, cool website

I found a cool website for editing photos. It's www.picnik.com and you can make your pictures all neato looking, like this one. Of course, it helps to have an adorable kid and a great picture to begin with...

Baby Girl's 4 month stats

Baby girl had her 4 month well baby check today. The doctor said she is perfect, and exactly the right size...for a 6 month old! She is sitting up, teething, and doing all the things a 6 month old should be doing. What can I say? We make big perfect babies. Here's how she stacks up...
Height 26 inches - 95 percentile
Weight 16 lbs 9 oz - 95 percentile
Head circumference 41 cm- 75 percentile

She smiled and cooed at the doctor...right up until her immunization shots, then she looked at me like "How could you Momma?!" But she got over it quickly, and has been all smiles since!

Gone fishin'

The boy loves to pretend to fish. More so than actually fishing I suspect. Here he is with his light saber/jump rope fishing pole. He is such an imaginative little guy.

Shining example

The boy loves to hang out with the Elders. It melts my heart to see how they treat him with such love. The boy wanted to read "All About Scabs." (I know, eww.) So Elder L read to him. Elder L even took some of the boys toys to try to teach him about red blood cells and fibrin. My boy can learn so much from these bigger boys. Things that you would think have nothing to do with the gospel of Christ, except that by being such good examples, the Elders are teaching my son compassion, charity, and love, which is a perfect example of the gospel of Christ. We are so lucky.

Home again Home again

We said goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa, and headed out. It was a good visit, a good trip, and a good vacation. It is nice to be home though, and it's nice to have Daddy back. We enjoyed our travels, but we are happy to be all together again.

Busy Day!

Grandma and Grandpa took us up to a little gold mining town called Idaho City. We had a good time there, and on the way back home, we stopped by the Boise temple for the boy. It was a busy day but fun!

Zoo Boise

Grandma and Grandpa took us to the zoo, and the boy was very excited to see all the animals! It is a tradition that Grandma and Grandpa take us to the zoo when we visit, and it was really fun to include baby girl this time!

Playing at the park

We had a fun afternoon at the park. The boy played, and baby girl and I sat in the shade. It was a fun afternoon, and the boy was very tired afterwards!

Portraits of my beautiful babies

I took the kids for portraits, and there are A LOT more than I could fit on here, so to see them all, check out my Facebook page. I have a tough time deciding my favorites, but these are a few of them.

Boy+Boat=LOVE!

Grandpa took the boy and I out on the boat, and the boy was in heaven! Grandpa let him steer and control the throttle. My little speed demon pushed it all the way forward. We fished for a little while but we didn't catch anything quickly enough to keep the boy's interest. It was really fun. Baby girl stayed home with Grandma, and I think the two of them had just as much fun together!

Back to Grandma's house!

The drive back to Idaho from Utah was GORGEOUS! Again, I don't recommend taking pictures from a moving car while operating said car, but I couldn't resist some of the scenery!

My boy, the spokesperson

Doesn't he look like he could be in an add for Jamba Juice? It cracks me up how well he "poses" for the camera. Utah was HOT today, 103 degrees at last check, so we decided to cool off with some smoothies.

Best buds!

The boy's good buddy moved to Utah a few months ago, so we visited them also. It was a lot of fun to see the boys interacting again. We really miss these friends, so it was really special that we got to see them. The boys had a blast, and I was so happy to see my buddy too!

I'm going there someday!

The boy LOVES to see the temple. He was so sad that he didn't get to go in this time. He just stood there in awe gazing at it. I wish I could have gotten a picture of the first time he saw it. Pure joy. We went to Temple square twice, and he had such a good time walking around, looking at the pictures in the visitor's center, touring the conference center, visiting the Church history museum, and of course seeing the temple. It is really special to get to share these moments with my children.

Thank you for being my friend!

We got to meet up with some friends of mine from High school, and their boys. It was fun to reminisce and to see how they've changed. The best thing about it was that after 12 years, there was no awkwardness, we could talk just like we used to. I had a lot of fun, and our afternoon together went by WAY too fast. Thanks girls! I miss you already!

That's what a hamburger's all about!

My Aunt had never been to In-N-Out, since they are so new to Utah, so the kids and I treated her, my cousin, and my cousin's son to lunch. Still as good as I remember!

Utah bound

Today we headed down to Utah. The kids did very well for another long car trip. We got to my Aunt's house and spent time visiting. It is too HOT here for us northerners. The boy really liked my cousin, and tried to get her to play with him constantly!

Welcome to Idaho

It is remarkably difficult to take a picture out of a moving vehicle, especially as the driver. At the time, I was REALLY annoyed that this truck drove into my picture, but now I think it adds charm.

On the road again!

We headed out for our trip to Idaho and Utah today. I decided to take the kids to visit family and friends while Daddy is gone to AT for the Army. WHAT was I thinking? Idaho is a 10 hour drive, and Utah is a 6 hour drive from there...with two kids, including a nursing baby...by MYSELF. The kids actually did quite well, and the trip was not too bad. It was a LONG day, but we made it in time for dinner, and both kids were in good spirits!

This little piggy

I asked hubby the other day if it was too soon to paint baby girl's toes. He looked at me like I was crazy. But I figure, she isn't sucking on them...yet...so what could it hurt?!!? I think they are adorable. They match mine...and brother's. He wanted his toes pink too when Momma painted hers and sister's.
