Beach baby, beach baby...

The boy loves the beach. He was so excited when I told him it was beach time again. We went out for a beach play date with a lot of moms and kids from all the wards in town. It was HOT. The kids had a blast playing in the ocean, chasing crabs, building sand castles, and collecting shells and rocks. Baby girl was not all that thrilled. She was hot and sweaty for the first time in her life! Next time we will remember to bring a beach umbrella for her (and Mommy!) to sit under!

Funshine!

The boy was playing outside today and loving it. It was 75 degrees for the first time this year today, and the kids were out in droves. He actually came inside for a while, telling me it was "too hot." He ran around outside with no shoes on, played on his tricycle, swung on his swing set, chased butterflies, and ate his pb&j outside for a picnic! What a good summery day!

Fun in the sun

The boy finally got to break out the Buzz Lightyear slip and slide. We had a beautiful, warm (70 degrees!) day and he wanted to try out his new toy. He had a lot of fun, even though the water was COLD. He ran through the sprinkler, slipped and slided his way around the yard, even managed to get Daddy a little wet! What a fun day.

Think I'll go for a walk outside...the summer sun's calling my name!

I can't believe the beautiful sunny clear crisp days we are having lately. The boy is loving playing outside, and I am loving the sun shining without it being hot. Nothing is better than walking barefoot through the grass while the boy plays while the sun is shining on your face!

Hey little buddy!

The boy had a great time playing outside today. It was so warm and sunny, blue skies, not a cloud anywhere. He played on his Big Wheels, ran around in the grass barefoot, and found a little bug to play with. He was so excited about this little beetle. He held it for a long time, then gently put him down on the ground. When the beetle crawled away, the boy got down on his hands and knees and followed it for a while. It was so sweet. What a good day.
