Labor day
Today we went fishin'. The boy even caught one but it was too little and we had to throw it back. He is such a funny kid. He always finds a reason to throw them back. This one was too small, one was too big, one was too slappy, one was too fishy. I think he just likes holding that pole.

Shadow dancing
The boy was dancing with his shadow, and he kept telling it "red light" and "green light." It was pretty hilarious. Speaking of hilarious, here are some funny things he has said lately.
*Eating a tomato he said "This pretty much rocks my whole mouth."
*After church he was singing "Christ the Lord has risen today, a-a-a-a-lle-lu-u-ia. In a one horse open sleigh, a-a-a-a-lle-lu-u-ia." LoL!!
*Daddy told him to quit being silly and eat his meal. He said "This is not a meal..it's a vacation!"
* "Mom you're not pretty, you're just a mom."
* I coughed and he said "say excuse me" I asked why and he said "Your mouth tooted."
* I was super sick on Tues, and I went in to take a nap, when I came out he kept calling me "Mama bear." Finally I asked why he was calling me that and he said "Because you were snoring like a big bear."
* "When Santa Claus brings me something....I KEEP it!"
* "Ow!" Mom "What's the matter?" Boy "I just fell on my spleen."
* He was lying in my lap with his head on my stomach and said "What a comfy pillow." After a few minutes, he moved his head several inches north and said "Oh, a bigger pillow!"
* Mommy "You are my knight in shining armor." Boy "No, I'm just a kid... in pajamas!"
*"Mom, can you tell me another story?" "No I just told you one." "I forgot it...it's gone out of my head."
*When I asked him what he learned in preschool, "When I get bigger my belly will grow... and my wiener."
*"I'm using my xray vision to see the milk in your boobies."
*Me"I don't negotiate with terrorists." Boy "Yeah we don't groceries state with carrots."
* When I gave him a hug, he said "Don't squeeze too tight, all my juice will run out and I'll have no energy drinks left."

I'm a ninja, Mom.
Daddy brought home these adorable kimonos for the kids from Korea. Today, they got to wear them to church. The boy loves his, and kept running his fingers along the designs. Walking into church he did this weird slide move. I asked what he was doing and he said, very matter of fact, "I'm a ninja, mom." It was pretty cute.

Sharing should never be too hard.
The boy was on a playdate at his little friend's house, and his mom reported to following conversation to me;
My Boy: Can I have one of your trees?
Friend's Mom: Sure, we can make some treats.
My Boy: No, trees. TREES. I want a tree.
Friend's Mom: A...tree?
My Boy: Yes, I want to plant a tree at my house.
Friend's Mom: Oh, honey I don't think it would be very easy to get one of my trees to your house.
My Boy: We should always share. It's never too hard to share.
So, we got the boy two of his very own fruit trees. They are both hybrid, self pollenating. One is plums and the other is cherries. They both have several little green buds on them, so we'll see if they actually give us any fruit. The boy is very excited about them, and we check on them everyday. Repeatedly.

Minion cake
The boy's new favorite movie is "Despicable Me" and he watches it all the time. He doesn't remember the title, so he calls it "my mini-nin." It's pretty cute to see him so excited about the minions. Daddy pointed out that a twinkie looks like a minion, so I got some blue writing frosting gel stuff and made him a minion cake. It was pretty adorable. He didn't want to eat it, but when I convinced him it would be ok, he scarfed it down so quickly that I couldn't even get another picture!

Can you hear me now?
I heard the boy arguing with his friend Lil' E...only she wasn't here. So, I went into the living room to see what the commotion was all about. Apparently, the boy had given her a ring on the old banana phone. She was telling him that he was supposed to be at school and he was telling her that there is no school today. On a side note, we were in Costco and bought a bunch of bananas. The boy insisted on carrying it around and was rocking it, calling it his baby. He said his baby was crying, and was hungry. I asked what banana babies eat, and the boy said "squirrels!" Honestly, I don't know where he gets these things.

My mini-nin!
The boy got "Despicable Me" as an early Christmas present, and he LOVES it. I had never heard of it, but it is really cute. It came with an inflatable minion, and he has been carrying it around all day. He calls it "my mini-nin" and he even snuggled up to sleep with it. He is such a cutie. He has been saying and doing lots of cute things lately. For example, the other day he started saying something that sounds like "hee-haw-so." He said it over and over. Finally I asked him "where did you hear that?" and he shruggingly said "I made it up." I asked what it means and he said "Dance." Now whenever he says it he says it in a loud stage whisper, and he does the Beyonce "Single Ladies" dance when he says it. I don't know where he gets these things, but I love that he does!

I do it all by myself!
Daddy's military weekend usually falls on the same weekend as the kids projects at Home Depot, so I have been taking the boy to do lots and lots of projects. This time, he insisted on doing all of it all by himself. It is a pencil holder, and he would not let me take a picture of it completed, because he hasn't gotten to paint it yet, and it's supposed to be a surprise for Daddy!

Thoroughly enjoying himself!
The boy has been begging to eat at the "Apple place." So, we went and he was thrilled. After he ate every bite of his dinner, he asked for a dessert with a cherry on top. As you can see, he completely enjoyed every single bite of his sundae. He has such a big personality, I hope he continues to let it shine.
