She flies through the air...with the greatest of ease!

Baby girl LOVES the swings.  She says "whee!" every time I push her.  She is growing up so fast, I will have to stop calling her "baby girl."  At home we call her "Sister," so I will start calling her that.

The boy got all dressed up as "Dark Vader" today.  He was even making the breathing noises and marching around.  He is such an imaginative kid.  He also had a light saber battle with Mommy, Daddy, Sister, and our friend who came for dinner and FHE.  I love to watch him play.

There are too many kids in this tent!

This play tent was a BIG hit at Joy School. ALL of the kids wanted to be in it, and no one wanted to get out to make more room. There were six little bodies in a 3 foot square. They all seemed to think it was hilarious, and everyone wanted to take a picture. Funny kids...fun time!

Hide and seek

The boy loves to play whole house hide and seek. And yet...today, this is where he chose to hide. Six feet from Daddy (who was "it".) He was truly amazed that we found him. Silly kid.

Fishies in the ocean

The boy decided he'd like to paint, so we sat down to paint and he told me I had to "imaginate" that his picture was fishies in the ocean. He painted a blue line at the top to be the water, then made all sorts of colorful swirls and dots. It did look like fishies in the ocean...in a way. I love his abilities to "imaginate" and create. He was so proud of his picture. We decided to send it to Grandma for her birthday. The boy is a joy to have around.

It's ok to be crabby, baby!

The boy found this little play area, and he thought the crab was pretty cool. It was soft shelled (ha ha) so he liked to jump on it. I love the little eyes peeking out. The boy has a huge imagination and had a whole scenario going, even though he was the only kid in there.

I get by with a little help from my friends!

The boy LOVES the missionaries. He gets so excited when they come for dinner, when we see them on Sunday, when we see them out in town...He wants to sit by them, call them on the phone, and when they are here, they are expected to work for their dinner by playing with the boy. Here he is getting a ride because he was "too tired" from all the playing....what a little con artist. The missionaries are always good sports about it, and spend a lot of time with him. Their love is apparent in their actions, and the way they treat my little man. I hope he grows up to be just like them!

You hoshkosh Daddy?

The boy loves to hopscotch. He always wants two drawn, so that Daddy or Momma can play with him. He is very particular about the colors, the direction it is drawn, and how the numbers are written. (Notice Daddy's has a "P" at the top....by order of the boy.) It's so cute to see him throw his rock and then hop from square to square. He hasn't quite gotten the hang of hopping on one foot, so it's fun to watch. He loves to "hoshkosh."

So grown up

When did my baby turn into such a big kid? His Daddy gave him this remote control truck and within minutes the boy had it jumping over ramps, doing wheelies in the driveway, and 4X4'ing across the grass. The boy was so in love with his new toy that after we parked it (in the garage!) he kept asking to go check on it. I can't believe he is so grown up.

Imaginate Momma!

The boy was running around waving this net, and I asked him to settle down. He said "I'm chasing that butterfly." I asked "what butterfly?" He said "You have to imaginate it Momma." So, we imaginated chasing butterflies for a while.

Box time!

As far as the boy is concerned, the best thing about baby sister (so far) is that all her stuff comes in big boxes. Boxes=toys. He climbed into the playpen box which was really narrow, and closed the flaps. I found him in there asleep about 20 minutes later. Here he is playing in the stroller/car seat box, which has a bit more room. He took all the boxes and built a fort. He then destroyed the fort by jumping on it from the coffee table. What a silly boy!

Peek a boo!

The boy was hiding in the clothes when I came back from getting more out of the dryer. It was really funny, because I didn't know he was there, the boy and Daddy set me up =) What boogers.

Think I'll go for a walk outside...the summer sun's calling my name!

I can't believe the beautiful sunny clear crisp days we are having lately. The boy is loving playing outside, and I am loving the sun shining without it being hot. Nothing is better than walking barefoot through the grass while the boy plays while the sun is shining on your face!
