When we're helping we're happy!

The boy LOVES to help vacuum. The handle goes all the way down to where he can push it easily, and today I got out of the shower to find him vacuuming without having been asked!! What a sweet helper boy!

When we're helping we're happy!

I plugged in the vacuum today and then went to go check to make sure baby was awake before I started. I hadn't pulled the handle up to make it "adult sized" yet, and I heard it turn on. I came running out and found the boy doing it for me! Up until now he has always been afraid of the vacuum, and covered his ears whenever it was on. He is growing up! He tells me constantly now that "big boys are good helpers." And, he is right!

Santa's little helper

Santa Daddy made an appearance at the ward Christmas party tonight. The boy was excited to be his helper. He was in charge of giving out the candy and toys after the kids visited Santa. The boy took this very seriously. He NEVER told anyone who Santa was, even when the big kids were trying to get it out of him, he handed everyone a candy cane and a toy, and told them "Merry Christmas." He was a great helper.

GET out of there!

The boy said he was going to take baby sister out of my belly. He was talking to my belly saying "get out of there!" When that didn't work he wrapped his arms around my belly and pulled. Then he tried kisses. Finally he just gave up and took a nap!

When we're helping we're happy!

The boy LOVES to "help" clean. Whether it's sweeping the floor, or washing the dishes. He always volunteers "I help!" Today he told me "I do it all by myself." He was quite serious about the whole matter. For FHE we talked about how by helping each other we strengthen our family. We sang "When we're helping we're happy" and "My Eternal Family." He favorite part of "When we're helping we're happy" is the line that says "we love to help Mother, for we all love her so." He always adds "so much" at the end. It is too cute. He makes me so happy.
